Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead at Scene of South Hill Road Crash
In a somber turn of events, the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal UTV crash on South Hill Road in the Town of Virgil on April 16th at approximately 7:40 p.m. Upon arrival, Hampton police found the motorcyclist, Ryan Blankenship, unresponsive. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old Newport News man was remembered fondly by friends and family for his adventurous spirit and infectious smile. In a tribute, his loved ones shared that his passion for motorcycles brought him immense joy. The community mourns the loss of a promising young life.
The Hampton Police Division is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and has urged witnesses to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.
